Planning Division Welcomes Executives and Study Visit Delegation from Mae Fah Luang University

The Planning Division, University of Phayao, welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chayaporn Wattanasiri, President of Mae Fah Luang University, along with the executive team during their study visit on Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) practices at the University of Phayao. The visit took place on Monday, November 16, 2020, at the Borwon Rattanaprasit Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Office of the President Building, University of Phayao.
On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, delivered a welcome address, stating:
“On the occasion of your visit today, I sincerely hope that this will be an opportunity for us to exchange knowledge and experiences regarding ITA assessments for the benefit of both universities. On behalf of the University of Phayao, I warmly welcome the President of Mae Fah Luang University, the executive team, and all delegates, and I hope you enjoy your time here at our university.”
The session continued with a presentation on the overall ITA implementation framework at the University of Phayao by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thitirat Chiaosuwan, Vice President for Policy and Planning. She explained the ITA criteria developed by the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) as a preventive measure against corruption and a mechanism to promote transparency and integrity in public sector operations. The target score for passing the assessment is 85 points or higher.
The University of Phayao has prioritized integrity and transparency as a key strategy in its Strategic Development Plan under the theme of efficient and transparent administration. The presentation also highlighted the university’s ITA performance for FY 2020, with Asst. Prof. Angkana Panteuk, Assistant to the President, reporting that the university ranked 230th out of 8,303 agencies nationwide and 15th among 83 higher education institutions, achieving a score of 92.13 (Grade A)—well above the target in all indicators. This success reflects the university’s strong commitment and collaborative efforts across faculties and units, supported by continuous monitoring and evaluation.
