Planning Division Organizes Project to Strengthen Integrity and Good Governance and Continues the Candle Offering Tradition

On June 30, 2025, the Planning Division organized a project to strengthen integrity and good governance within the organization and to preserve the traditional Buddhist Candle Offering Ceremony for the fiscal year 2025 at Wat Ratchakhru, Wiang Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province.

The ceremony was honored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thitirat Chiaosuwan, Vice President for Policy and Planning, who presided over the offering of Buddhist Lent candles, monk robes, religious items, and lunch to the monks. Joining the event were Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarayut Raroengjai, Assistant to the President; Ms. Thitiporn Maneechansuk, Director of the Planning Division; heads of the Risk Management and Transparency Support Unit, Strategic Planning Unit, Budgeting Unit, Strategic Information Unit, Administrative Unit, and staff members of the Planning Division.

The activity was graciously supported by Phra Khru Wisitworakhun, Abbot of Wat Ratchakhru, who delivered a Dhamma talk and gave blessings on the occasion of Asalha Puja and Buddhist Lent Day, guiding participants in meditation practice and sprinkling holy water for auspiciousness.

Objectives

The project aimed to:

  • Foster a mindset of integrity, honesty, and harmonious coexistence within the organization.
  • Promote adherence to religious principles and the Philosophy of Sufficiency Economy as guiding values in daily life and work.
  • Develop staff holistically in body, mind, and intellect, while preserving the cultural tradition of the Candle Offering Ceremony.
