from the President's policy In aiming for Phayao University to be an Area-Based University that uses the BCG Model as a platform to drive the University of Phayao and develop local communities towards achieving the SDGs together, many people may have questions: What is BCG and what role does it play in people's lives? Where is Phayao University?

BCG stands for BCG Economy (Bio-Circular-Green Economy).

  • 1. Bio Economy Bio economy is the development of our economy. from existing local resources using resources efficiently aim to increase productivity add value including reducing carbon dioxide and waste
  • 2. Circular Economy Circular economy is an attempt to extend the life of the available resources as long as possible. It is a renewable cycle. and reduce waste to a minimum
  • 3. Green Economy Green Economy It is a development that looks at the balance between economic development. by focusing on production that helps the environment better Safe from the point of production to forwarding to consumers

Roles related to the life of the people of Phayao University It is here that many of the university's projects are either BCG or are related to BCG, the whole process integrated. Or some projects may be B or C or G are bound unknowingly. For example, from the project 1 Faculty 1 Innovation Community for the fiscal year 2021 of each faculty such as

  • 1. Bio Economy, a project to develop quality lychee production sources in Phayao Province with good agricultural practice standards. for sustainable self-reliance of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources This allows farmers to produce quality lychee grade AA (premium) that is safe and can be sold at a higher price.
  • 2. Circular Economy, Community Waste Management Project in Chun Sub-District with Participation through Scientific Innovation and social innovationChun Community Waste Management participatory model with scientific innovation and social innovation of the Faculty of Science This helps people in the community have a concrete waste management. generate income from waste in the community
  • 3. Green Economy, a learning area project of water hyacinth product processing with innovation of solar drying of Phayao communities” Faculty of Energy and Environment This allows operators to use the innovative solar drying system to dry water hyacinths for producing OTOP products. to reduce production costs add value to the product and reduce waste arising from the production process

How does it affect the social economy? And who benefits?

The heart of BCG is to generate income and reduce expenses. BCG will be the main economic base of Thailand in the future. Production will be based on Area Based, using resources that are easily accessible in the area. use the least cost Minimal waste from the system and the most friendly to nature
