On Friday, April 21, 2023, at 10:00 AM, the Strategic Planning Office of the University of Phayao organized an activity for knowledge exchange and brainstorming on opportunities and challenges affecting the University of Phayao in the next two decades. The university president, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Phongbangpo, presented management policies and conceptual frameworks for carrying out each mission. Associate Professor Dr. Thitirath Chiewsuwan, Vice President for Policy and Planning, provided clarification on the development plan for excellence at the University of Phayao, a 20-year plan (Fiscal Year 2023 - 2043). Additionally, Assistant Professor Dr. Sarayod Rarueangjai, Vice President, presented the perspectives of the EdPEx evaluators regarding the university's operations for the academic year 2021.
Under this knowledge exchange activity, there were lectures for collective learning, as follows:
- Society, Culture, and Education (Speakers: Associate Professor Dr. Montara Pongnil and Associate Professor Dr. Raksit Sutthipong)
- Technology, Innovation, and Science (Speakers: Associate Professor Dr. Natthapong Damrongwiriyanuwat and Assistant Professor Dr. Pronthep Rojanasuwat)
- Human and Health (Speakers: Associate Professor Dr. Surasak Sao-kaew and Assistant Professor Dr. Somkid Juwa)
- Energy and Environment (Speaker: Associate Professor Dr. Torpong Kreetachat)
- Digital Economy and Logistics (Speaker: Assistant Professor Dr. Prakobsiri Pakdeephinit)
Afterwards, participants were divided into small groups to brainstorm the planning of Corporate Goals and Ultimate Goals for the 20-year plan under the five areas of excellence (5 Excellences): human resource development, research and innovation, academic services, cultural conservation, and good governance at the Novotel Marina and Koh Si Chang Hotel in Chonburi Province.
