On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 8:00 AM, the Planning Division, in collaboration with the School of Allied Health Sciences, School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, School of Nursing, School of Medical Science, School of Information and Communication Technology, School of Political and Social Sciences, School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and the Learning Innovation Institute at the University of Phayao, organized the kick-off event for the project under the readiness plan to support an aging society for the 2024 fiscal year. The event was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongsabangpo, the President of the University of Phayao.
The objectives of the project are as follows:
- To prepare individuals physically, mentally, and socially for aging effectively.
- To provide accurate understanding and interpretation of one's health data.
- To enhance self-care capabilities and serve as health leaders, helping families and communities prepare for aging.
The event included various activities such as laboratory health checks, physical fitness assessments, dementia screening, osteoporosis risk assessments, and dental health screenings. Additionally, participants were offered non-degree courses to prepare for an aging society. The target group for the project consisted of 150 village health volunteers from every village in the Mae Ka Subdistrict, as well as 150 university personnel, including administrators, service staff, and support staff, totaling 300 participants. The event took place at the Center for Holistic Health Promotion of the Elderly in a Participatory Community at the University of Phayao.
