On May 11, 2024, the Planning Division, University of Phayao, organized a meeting to review the 5-year strategic development plan (FY 2025 - 2029) at the Flora Creek Hotel, Hang Dong District, Chiang Mai. The goal was to align the university's strategic plan with the policies and development objectives set by the University Council and the University President, fostering a more proactive approach amid global changes and challenges.
The event was led by Professor Emeritus Attapol Yaisawang, President of the University Council, who delivered a keynote on the development policies for the University of Phayao. Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongsabangpo, President of the University of Phayao, followed with the 5-year development objectives, focusing on Lifelong Learning, Social Innovation, Global Recognition, and Sustainable Development. Additionally, Professor Dr. Pongrak Sribanditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University, gave a special lecture on "University Adaptation to Global Changes and Challenges."
After the keynote presentations, the university's Vice Presidents, Assistant Presidents, and administrators collaborated to review the goals, objectives, strategies, key performance indicators, and major projects of each strategic area. The outcomes will be compiled into a draft of the 5-year strategic development plan (FY 2025 - 2029) for submission to the University Council for feedback and further revisions.
