According to the Master Plan under the National Strategy on Anti-Corruption and Misconduct (2018-2037), the Integrity and Transparency Assessment (ITA) has been established as one of the key goals and indicators of the sub-plan for preventing corruption and misconduct. Additionally, during the Cabinet meeting on January 4, 2022, it was resolved that government agencies should participate in the annual ITA evaluation from fiscal years 2022 to 2027, with support from agency executives to develop knowledge, skills in public disclosure, anti-corruption efforts, and public service delivery, as required by the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC).
In line with this, the University of Phayao developed the UP Integrity and Transparency Assessment (UP ITA) system, to prepare and promote integrity and transparency within the university. The system assesses three key areas: internal stakeholder perceptions (IIT), external stakeholder perceptions (EIT), and public disclosure (OIT), following the evaluation criteria set by the NACC.
During the 13th Risk Management, Internal Control, and Transparency Committee meeting (3/2567) held on June 12, 2024, the committee approved the results of the UP ITA evaluation for fiscal year 2024. The Planning Division was awarded an "Excellent" rating as a "Model Unit" for its outstanding performance in the UP ITA evaluation, maintaining this rating from 2022 to 2024. This recognition highlights the division's ongoing commitment to upholding high standards of integrity and transparency within the university.
The evaluation included a total of 40 units across the university, all contributing to the overall success of the program.
