On July 15, 2024, the Planning Division held a program aimed at reinforcing integrity and good governance within the department, while also participating in the traditional candle offering ceremony for the Fiscal Year 2024 at Wat Moh Kaeng Thong in Mae Ka Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province. Associate Professor Dr. Thitirat Chiaosuwan, Vice President for Policy and Planning, presided over the ceremony, offering candles, bathing cloths, religious items, and meals to the monks. The event was also attended by the Director of the Planning Division and staff members.
The program featured a sermon and blessing by Phra Khru Palat Somboon Punnasiri (Phra Khru Ba Luang Boonchai), the abbot of Wat Moh Kaeng Thong, who gave a Dhamma talk in honor of Asalha Puja and the start of Buddhist Lent. He also led meditation and sprinkled holy water for auspicious blessings upon those participating in the candle offering.
The purpose of the program was to instill a mindset of integrity, honesty, and harmony within the organization, guided by religious principles and the philosophy of sufficiency economy. This practice aims to continually shape the daily lives and work of staff, fostering both physical and mental development, as well as intellectual growth. Additionally, it sought to preserve the tradition of the candle offering during the Buddhist Lent.
