From November 24 to 27, 2022, the Planning Division organized a workshop on the plan and budget management system, Activity 1: the Competency and Skill Development Project for Operational Work through the e-Budget System to manage projects according to the strategic development plan of Phayao University. This event was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Thitirath Chiewsuwan, Vice President for Policy and Planning, who presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop.
The objectives of this workshop are as follows:
- To develop competencies and skills for operational work through the e-Budget system.
- To manage projects according to the strategic development plan of Phayao University.
- To enhance the knowledge and understanding of planning and managing projects among personnel involved in planning and budgeting, allowing them to work more effectively.
- To strengthen the efficiency of the e-Budget system user network, ensuring knowledge and understanding is aligned.
The training topics and activities in this project were honored by Associate Professor Dr. Thitirath Chiewsuwan, who lectured on modern management directions and policies, effective capacity building for personnel to develop competencies and skills (SMART BUDGET), and measuring and evaluating projects at Phayao University. Assistant Professor Dr. Chatrthip Chaiyajak, Assistant Vice President, also lectured on the National Economic and Social Development Plan No. 13, driving sustainable development goals (SDGs), bio-economy (BCG), and creative economy for balanced growth of higher education institutions.
Practical learning activities to develop competencies and skills (SMART BUDGET) included Lessons 1 and 2 on project initiation and detail filling, conducted by the Planning Division team, and Lessons 3 and 4 on procurement planning, budget disbursement, and project reporting, conducted by teams from the Planning Division, Finance Division, and Procurement Office of the President. The event also included a CSR activity aimed at sustainable development goal SDG 14: Life Below Water.
This project had a total of 51 participants at Long Beach Garden Hotel and Spa, Pattaya City, Chonburi Province.
