On December 21, 2022, Phayao University welcomed a delegation of six executives and budget staff from the Bureau of the Budget. The President of Phayao University, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, gave the welcome speech, accompanied by the university's executive team.
The purpose of this visit by the executives and budget staff from the Bureau of the Budget was to discuss and monitor the university's budget performance and provide guidance on the preparation of the annual budget expenditures to ensure the efficient management of the university's budget. The meeting was held at the Boworn Rattanaprasit Meeting Room, Phayao University.

Paying respects at the King Naresuan the Great Monument and paying homage to the Phuchakarak Buddha, the university's revered statue at Phayao University.
Visited the exhibition "The Office of the National Economic and Social Development Council (Office of the National Development Plan): Continuing the Royal Initiative, Creating Sustainable Communities" at the Forest Garden of the Natural History Museum, Phayao University. The exhibition aimed to monitor the results of research and development efforts to conserve resources and create added economic value for local communities. Some highlights include the development of products from the Kham Mok Luang tree, which is the university's official tree; the development of natural dye fabrics from the Tai Lue community; the development of products and conservation efforts for wildlife (including Thai stingless bees, Asian hornets, frogs, and rice crabs); conservation of Thai peafowls; and a learning center for the Sufficiency Economy.
The exhibition also featured musical performances and a fashion show showcasing traditional costumes from Phayao Province. This exhibition was organized to embody the principles of the Sufficiency Economy philosophy as a model for sustainable community development under the project for the conservation of plant genetics as per the royal initiative of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
