On January 11, 2023, led by the President of the University of Phayao, the university's board of directors and staff collectively expressed their commitment to stand against all forms of corruption during the 92nd (1/2023) board meeting held at the Baworn Rattanaprasit Conference Room, Office of the President, University of Phayao. This initiative aims to promote and elevate the operations of internal departments within the university based on principles of integrity and ethics, transparency, and good governance, in line with the announcement from the University of Phayao regarding the policy and intent to reject all gifts and presents from official duties (No Gift Policy) for the fiscal year 2023, dated January 10, 2023.
In this meeting, the President of the University of Phayao, along with vice presidents, deans, directors, heads of departments, and staff, collectively announced and expressed their intention: "The University of Phayao is an organization where all executives and staff shall not give or accept any gifts or presents from official duties (No Gift Policy) during any festival or other occasions from those who come in contact, stakeholders, and the public to avoid actions that may influence the use of discretion or decision-making in an unfair manner. We shall not condone or support corruption or misconduct in any form and shall strive to foster a culture of integrity, ethics, and transparency within the organization for students and staff sustainably."
Additionally, the Board of Directors of the University of Phayao took a group photo and displayed symbols against corruption. They resolved to assign the top executives of each department within the university to oversee and ensure that their staff adhere strictly to this announcement. Each department is also required to report on the implementation of the No Gift Policy for the 6-month and 12-month periods of the fiscal year 2023 to the top executives for acknowledgment.
