On April 2, 2023, the University of Phayao, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thitirat Chiewsuwan, the Vice President for Policy and Planning, organized the Lifelong Learning Community Innovation Exhibition to enhance the excellence of higher education institutions and produce advanced human resources in science, research, and innovation to drive the transformation of higher education institutions according to national development strategy groups. The event was honored by Mr. Bamrung Sangkhaw, Deputy Governor of Phayao Province, who presided over the opening ceremony at Rajwong Community (Nithan Ban Tonmai Shop) in Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province.
The Lifelong Learning Community Innovation Exhibition featured demonstrations on frog farming using black soldier fly larvae, as well as various food products, including frog cookies and grilled goat dishes for attendees to sample. This event was held under a memorandum of understanding between the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, and the University of Phayao. The project aims to enhance the excellence of higher education institutions and produce advanced human resources in science, research, and innovation to drive the transformation of higher education institutions in alignment with national development strategy groups. It received budget support from the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation to facilitate the transformation of higher education institutions according to national development strategies, improving the system for skill and vocational knowledge development for entrepreneurs, community enterprises, and the public in line with community needs to create sustainable income-generating jobs, promoting Phayao Province as a UNESCO Learning City.
